How To Close Applications With Just One Click in Windows 8

Microsoft has unveiled the latest version of its windows operating system windows 8.1 with lots of new feature and most of them are undiscoverable by the audience.

So you must have seen in its past versions that when you take your mouse on right side of the screen then you will see a series of menus pop out and one of them is start menu, share etc. if you take your mouse on the right side of the screen you will see list of tiles of recently opened apps. If you are in an app and you want to shut it down like you do with windows file explorer, but unfortunately there is not any mean with which you can do that .

What you can do is that minimizes the App and then opens another app or Go to desktop and does some other stuff. So the app will be in the left side list and if you want to close if then you can go on the specific tile then you can do Right Click > Close and that app will be closed or you can also close the app directly , you can swipe the app from the top of the screen and your app will be closed.

But now in windows 8.1 there is simple and different way to handle the app. Swipe to close is not available in 8.1 if you want to close the app you just have to follow some simple step and you are done.
when you will click and drag app from the middle upper corner of the screen then your app will be in the form of a small tile or we can say that will be in the small version of the app.

Just drag it to the lower corner of the screen and keep it there for some time until app flips itself to 180 degree and will regain its tile icon.

You are done. Just release your mouse button and you are done you will see that app has been killed.
