How To Install Nessus In Backtrack 5 R1 | Backtrack Tutorial

For some reason, BT 5 R1 does not come with Nessus installed by default, Nessus installation in backtrack 5 was an easy work Backtrack 5 R1 does not have a default way to install nessus, so how to install Nessus in Backtrack 5 R1?
Follow some steps:

1. First Download it from:
http://www.tenable.com/products/nessus/select-your-operating-system


2. Type command:

root@bt:~# apt-get install nessus

3. After getting Nessus on you BackTrack 5 R1 you need to add a user, you can add multiple user as well, on the terminal type

root@bt:~# /opt/nessus/sbin/nessus-adduser

4. Registration phase is important and you need to decided that what you want a home feed or a business feed, for registration go http://www.nessus.org/register/

Than on the terminal type:

root@bt:~# /opt/nessus/bin/nessus-fetch --register YOUR KEY

5. Now start nessus on the terminal, For this type:

root@bt:~# /etc/init.d/nessusd start

6. Than at the browser use https://127.0.0.1:8834 to start nessus.
