History of HTML5 [Infographic]

HTML5 comes in 2008, and contained disaster changes after HTML4. Its fate was uncertain for some time, especially as heavyweights Apple and Adobe duked it out in the mobile arena. The future of Flash, the standard for streaming video on the web, hung in the balance.

In November 2011, Adobe announced it would stop development of Flash for mobile browsers. While HTML5 was gradually creeping into the web at large, this marked a turning point for the standard, and it only accelerated from there. This is created by wix.
