Make any screen Touch screen

Hi friends! Wassup!
Today I got the amazing trick for you that even be your project which will yield you a touch screen working for each of your non touch screen devices like Notebook, Laptops, Monitor, LCD/TFT, Projectors etc.
Using a wii remote from the Nintendo gaming console, You can make your Regular monitor Behave as touch panel. Given below a simple Hands on project for you.

LET’S GET STARTED
:::What You need for this Workshop::::
A Nintendo Wiimote: You can use your existing consol’s remote or buy a New one from eBay it will cost around 1000
A Bluetooth USB Dongle: If your Laptop or desktop is not came with Bluetooth you can buy it from any nearest shop it will hardly cost you Rs 150.

An IR LED: This item can be sourced from your local electronics store or can be wiped out from any old non working IR remote.
A Push or Touch Switch: This switch can be extracted from any old PC’s case or electronic gadget having Reset or power up button.
A Ball Point Pen: Preferably a basic Plastic pen as drilled hole from one side and making cuts using glue.
Some Really thin wires: A thin wires to pass over the Pen for connecting the LED to battery.
Button Cells/Mercury Battery: Requires 4.5 volt battery you van use a CEMOS battery or use three 1.5 V battery.
Battery Holder: At the back of the IR pen there adjust a battery holder with tape or glue.

Tools: You may Require Knife, Glue, Tape and some extra wire or may be a solder.
Wiimotewhiteboard Utility:  This utility Can be freely Download from the Site
This utility used for calibrating the Wiimote position for the touch screen and for the entire working.

Lets Get Started with Trick
THE IR PEN:  First of all you need to make an IR pen by yourself or you can buy it from market
Given below is the image by which you can prepare the IR image.
This is enough to make you understand how to make this..

HOW TO TEST THE IR Pen
Since IR is not visible to human being so you can test it by moving it to the any camera or video camera where it will show the Red spot. And if it is working properly you are done with 80% of the job.
Now Let’s Proceed Further

:::CONNECTING THE WiiMote to PC::::
Since you know that Wiimote is working on the Bluetooth so firstly pair the Wiimote with the PCs Bluetooth and then Install the application that you have downloaded.

Since you know that Wiimote is working on the Bluetooth so firstly pair the Wiimote with the PCs Bluetooth and then Install the application that you have downloaded.

WiiMote Placement:
This is the Most critical and curial step of this functioning of the workshop.
Consider the following condition that must be satisfy
·        Wiimote should always face to the IR Pen’s LED for proper working
·        Its Position is once maintained shouldn’t be changed for the Process otherwise again the Process called calibrating will have to Repeat for Correct positing on screen.
For the wiimote to identify the whole surface of the screen one can use it on 90 degree but as already told the user can come in-between the IR Pen’s LED and wiimote so Best place or angle to place the wiimote is 45 Degree on the top of the screen. You can also opt any of the Layout as shown in figure.
use it on 45 degree on left or Right of the screen

Even use it on Table to have input on PC
Use it with Notebook

For Business Presentation

Calibrating The Wiimote::
In order  to get the all working you need to Download the utility that I have already told you
It Here.
Once your Wiimote is paired with your PC and placed at Required angle
(*******it should be fixed******)
for long time or for a long use and for permanently.
Now RUN the Wiimotewhiteboard utility if the pairing of the device is functional, the utility will run with some information of wiimote information like battery status and tracking utilization will be visible.
Options for control ( to enable and disable wiimote cursor).
The Next step is the calibrating the location.
** Its strongly Recommended that not to move the wiimote from this process onward.**
After Clicking the button your screen will turn white with some spot as shown in figure.

Now using the IR pen, touch the circle on the screen and touch it by pressing the button on the IR Pen. The IR LED will illuminate and send the signal to the wiimote to detect the position of the screen and if the detection is successful, you will see the circle disappear and then move to the top right corner and so on.
NOTE: If you accidently click twice, the circle will jump across and you touch screen will not be calibrated and you will have to repeat the process once again.
After the calibration is done the white screen will be disappear and now you can minimize the screen and Wolla!!
Start using your Touch screen.
NOTE
Since you using the IR Pen you are running on the Risk of scratching the screen.
To overcome this you can use the Screen Protector (Plastic Sheet) that comes with monitor to cover the display area.

This is very applicable in Business presentation, Lecture Halls for Teaching etc.
This utility is still under development but you can have great advantage of this.
How was the trick I’m so excited to hear from you please say your word..
