Mozilla Browser For iOS Coming, Working On "Junior"

Everyone knows mozilla is not in field of iOS. There are many alternatives to Apple's Safari. Atomic, Dolphin, Mercury, Opera Mini, and Skyfire are just a few that have enjoyed some measure of success on the platform, but one name that has been noticeably absent from the category thus far is Mozilla.
Mozilla is working on a new WebKit-based iPad web browser called Junior.

Optimised for iPad

Junior is a full-screen experience, with no tabs or address bar. Instead, you get two buttons about a third of the way up the screen - a back arrow to take you back, and on the right a plus symbol. Tap the latter and you'll be able to open a new page, browse recent pages, and bookmarks.

It's a bold move ditching tabs, but makes sense making use of the iPad's screen real estate.
You can also make separate user accounts for your friends and family. Swipe to the left on the main navigation page and you'll see a user login menu where you'll find options like private browsing. Passwords will mean no one can see what you've been looking at.

Junior isn't expected for a while yet, but it certainly looks like it'll stand out from the many clones doing the rounds. What's most interesting is how the team are working to the iPad's strengths - like the big screen - rather than just slapping a desktop version onto it. We'll bring you more as we get it.

Currently in prototype stage, Junior is probably the simplest iPad browser we’ve seen, reducing the UI to only a couple of buttons — a back button and a plus symbol that lets you access bookmarks, recent pages and an URL/search bar.

The main idea behind Junior is reducing the clutter — the browsing experience takes up the iPad’s entire screen, and even the tabs are gone. However, those two main buttons can be expanded to reveal other functions, such as reload or print, while other functions can be accessed with finger gestures.
The browser is still in early stages in development, and many functions are missing, so don’t expect to see it on your iPad very soon.
